Process to Become an LIC Agent
Step 1: Contact Us
Action: Visit https://futurewithlic.com/ website and express your interest in becoming an agent.
Process: Development Officer will contact you to discuss the opportunity and guide you through the initial steps. We will evaluate your suitability based on eligibility criteria, such as:
Minimum age: 18 years.
Educational qualification: 10th pass.
Valid PAN card and address proof (e.g., Aadhaar, voter ID, or driver’s license).
Step 2: Submit Required Documents
Action: Send or submit the necessary documents to us.
Documents Required:
Educational qualification certificates (photocopies of 10th/12th mark sheets or higher).
Four passport-size color photographs.
PAN card (photocopy).
Address proof (e.g., Aadhaar card, voter ID, passport, or driving license).
Cancelled cheque (to verify bank account details).
Step 3: Attend a 25-Hour Training Program
Action: Enroll in the mandatory 25-hour training program conducted by LIC.
Details:
Mode: Training can be completed online or offline at LIC’s Divisional or Agency Training Centers, depending on your preference and availability.
Content: The training covers:
Fundamentals of the life insurance business.
LIC products and policies.
Sales techniques and customer service skills.
Rules and regulations of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
Outcome: Upon completion, you will receive a training certificate from LIC, which is required to proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Pass the IRDAI Pre-Recruitment Exam (IC-38)
Action: Register for and clear the IRDAI IC-38 exam.
Details:
Registration: A registration fee (approximately Rs. 500) applies.
Exam Format:
Online, multiple-choice question (MCQ) test.
50 questions, 50 marks, 60-minute duration.
Minimum passing score: (15 marks out of 50).
No negative marking.
Syllabus: Includes life insurance principles, financial products, numerical ability (e.g., discounts, loans), English language, reasoning, and general awareness.
Preparation: LIC provides study materials, and mock tests are recommended to familiarize yourself with the exam pattern.
Process: We will assist with registration and provide guidance on preparation. After passing, you will receive a certificate valid for three years.
Step 5: Receive Offer Letter and Begin Work
Action: Await your appointment letter and agent license.
Process:
Upon passing the IRDAI exam, LIC will issue an appointment letter and an agent ID card, officially designating you as an LIC agent.
You will be assigned to a branch and work under the guidance of a Development Officer, We will provide field training and support to help you market policies effectively.
You can start selling LIC policies, earning commissions (typically 25–35% on first-year premiums, 7.5% for the 2nd and 3rd years, and 5% thereafter until policy maturity).Additional Support:

Marketing tools, promotional materials, and ongoing training from LIC to enhance sales.
